We've Got You
The easy part to learning a new skill is learning the academics of it, the math, the technical, the processes, etc. Even if those things don't come as naturally as you'd like, they're still the easiest part.
The harder part is psycological....the belief that it can be done, having the right support system, and the confidence to push through when things get difficult.
Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur with little support around you, a someone just desiring to know more, or a single parent/adult recently liberated from an abusive situation and starting over....no matter your background, we will be your support.
You're Not Alone
Accomplishing significant changes and transformations in your life isn't just about doing things differently; it's about seeing and believing things in a different way than you have in the past. And this is even harder when you feel alone or are criticized. Just remember, any criticism you get from others is their lack of belief in themselves. They don't beleive they could do it, so what makes you so different? Simple....you're not them. That's all you need to remember. You're. Not. Them.
You don't need to scale Mt Fuji, but if you imagine yourself in your old years, approaching death, and the idea of not having accomplishing your dreams brings you regret, then you need to push forward. Push forward when it's hard, when you don't think you can, because those doubts and the difficulty is only temporary.
While no two stories are the same, we've been through single parent-hood, abusive spouse, disparaging parents, financial hardship, and the loss of those who gave us support.....our rock. We may not understand everything you're overcoming but we understand the time and effort is takes to undo all the negative programming, particularly from a young age.
Confidence to succeed isn't natural to everyone but it's available to everyone. Accomplishing not only goals over time will help but so will overcomming obstacles. You deserve it.

No more listening to harsh, unconstructive criticism. If your thoughts or goals are discouraged and there's no suggestion to make them better or specific things to consider...it's someone else's confidence issues being projected onto you (advice and constructive criticsm gives you alternatives to think of...not just a drawn-out "no")
-
If the person giving criticsm isn't in a place in their life where you want to be....don't take it. You can take "here's what I've learned" into consideration, as hardship is more of a learning experience than success, but focus on "here's what has worked for me" and "dont'make the same mistake I did" seriously. Both can be invaluable.

Achieving your goals takes small, constant effort. You can absolutely achieve your dreams and if you slip into old habits and thoughts, don't beat yourself up. This accomplishes nothing and is not a good use of time. Recognize it, spend less than 30 seconds analyzing it or when/where it happened, and simply do what you need to do. Spending time thinking about it wastes time and can send you down a rabbit hole that's not productive, or beneficial. Just do what you need to do.
